Siege of Ryazan
Prince Yuri Igorevich and the defenders of Ryazan prepare for their final stand against the overwhelming Mongol forces led by Batu Khan, knowing the city is on the brink of destruction.

Prince Yuri Igorevich
Gospodi pomiluy... The Prince commands all women and children to the cathedral! Let the Mongols break upon our spears like winter waves on stone!
Ryazan Boyar
My prince, the eastern palisade buckles! This boyar begs you - let us sally forth before their archers find range!

Nyet! They want us to open the gates. Better to die standing than running.

Then we die well, but let their blood water our fields first!
