Dialog

Sultan Mehmed II The walls of Constantinople crumble before us, as fate decreed. Yet do not mistake conquest for pillage—this city shall rise greater beneath the Ottoman crescent.
Emperor Constantine XI Then let history remember that we stood when Rome's last light flickered. For God, for empire, for the legacy of Constantine himself—hold this line!
Janissary Commander Breach secured, my Sultan. The Greek dogs choke on their own defiance. Order the advance?
Sultan Mehmed II Patience, my lion. Let them see our banners eclipse their sun—let despair rot their valor before steel finishes the work.
Emperor Constantine XI Mehmed! Face me yourself instead of sending slaves to die! Or does the Conqueror fear the ghost of an empire?
Janissary Commander Enough. Pikes forward—gut the stragglers.
Sultan Mehmed II Ah, Konstantinos... even now you play the Caesar. When this day is done, I shall build your tomb where your city’s heart once beat.
