Battle of Watling Street
The final clash of Boudica's revolt against Roman rule, where her vastly larger but undisciplined forces are being systematically destroyed by the disciplined Roman legions under Suetonius Paulinus.
Setting
A wide, open field adjacent to Watling Street, flanked by dense forests on one side and rolling hills on the other. The Roman road itself is a well-maintained, straight path cutting through the landscape, its gravel surface packed hard by centuries of use. The battlefield is strewn with bodies, discarded weapons, and the detritus of war.
Characters
Boudica
primary
A tall, imposing woman in her late 30s, with a muscular build honed by years of tribal leadership. Her flame-red hair flows wildly down her back, intertwined with small bones and metal ornaments. Piercing blue eyes burn with fury, and her face bears the faint scars of past battles. Her skin is marked with woad paint in swirling tribal patterns.
Gaius Suetonius Paulinus

A middle-aged Roman general with a lean, muscular build honed by decades of military campaigns. His face is weathered from sun and wind, with sharp features dominated by a prominent aquiline nose. Dark eyes, cold and calculating, survey the battlefield with strategic precision. Short-cropped grey hair and a neatly trimmed beard frame his face, showing his adherence to military discipline even in the field.
Iceni Warrior
secondary
A muscular warrior in his late 20s with sun-bronzed skin and wild, reddish-brown hair tied back with a leather thong. His face bears faded blue woad markings of his tribe, and his arms are covered in old battle scars. His piercing green eyes blaze with fury.
Centurion
secondary
A battle-hardened Roman officer in his late 30s, with a muscular build and weathered features. His face bears a scar across the left cheekbone from past combat. Short-cropped dark brown hair and piercing gray eyes that miss nothing on the battlefield.
Roman Legionary
background
A battle-hardened Roman soldier in his late 20s, with a muscular build from years of military training. His face is smeared with dirt and sweat, and a short, practical beard covers his jaw. His dark brown eyes are focused intently ahead, and his short-cropped hair is hidden beneath his helmet. A few scars mark his arms and legs, testaments to previous battles.
